Below are a series of stills and motion renderings I created for a mobile app.  Coming from a motion graphics background and doing mainly 3D generalist work, I often find myself gravitating towards a non-photo real look with my 3D projects.  The client gave me an opportunity with this project to improve upon my photorealism abilities.

R&D prior to landing on the concept of Architectural Light Studies

I started with building two spaces and experimenting with various lighting setups. 
This helped as a broad stroke to see what types of surfaces and angles were providing the most interesting light and shadow compositions.
